Why Siem Reap

A place that feels like an adventure, not a compromise

Home to the temples of Angkor Wat and a warm, welcoming community, Siem Reap offers a rare mix: rich culture, a relaxed pace of life, and a lower cost of living than most of Canada, without giving up comfort or connection.

Climate

Culture

Siem Reap is home to the Angkor Archaeological Park and centuries of Khmer history, alongside a thriving arts, food, and market scene right outside your door.

Expat community

Expat Community

Siem Reap is one of the most visited destinations in Southeast Asia. The Angkor Archaeological Park alone draws more than 1 million tourists a year, and the city is growing quickly as one of the most affordable retirement destinations for expats worldwide.

Cost of living

Cost of Living

Everyday costs, from groceries to dining out to transport, go a lot further here, which is exactly what makes Bluenose's pricing possible.

Getting There & Staying

Visa & Travel

Bluenose Residence guides residents through the visa process, whether staying 3 months or a full year. Most visas can be arranged right on arrival. The visa fee itself is not included in your monthly rate.

Airport pick-up is included when you arrive, so getting settled in is one less thing to plan.

Banking is handled through ABA Bank, the largest and most widely accepted bank in Cambodia, owned by the National Bank of Canada, so your money is never far from home.
